Your itinerary will take you to Nissa la Bella. Beyond the myth and its blue chairs on the Promenade des Anglais, you’ll discover its history, Villa Masséna and the wonders of the old town. Take time out on the second day to enjoy the local way of life, made of idleness and great Nissarde cuisine. Finally, immerse yourself in wilder corners, along the coastal path, and small neighbourhoods such as La Porta.
MyTripTailor advice: On Mondays, browse among the flea markets of Cours Saleya.

Nice
NiceStroll along the Promenade des Anglais before plunging into the heart of history at Villa Masséna. Admire the sea and the Palace Negresco on the way out before going up to the Quai des Etats-Unis as far as Chateau (a 92m high hill with an eponymous fort) for a breathtaking view of the Baie des Anges. Head back down to lunch in the cool streets of old Nice, before exploring the riches of the city at the Palais Lascarisa and the Cathedrale Sainte-Réparate. Close proceedings in style on the Promenade du Paillon and the lively surroundings of Place Masséna.
Go back for centuries, walking along Cimiez Hill, then visiting the monastery and the Fauvism Museum. A Gallo-Roman site in the same area is also worth a look. Enjoy your second afternoon sampling local life: relax on a pebble beach, fill up with oil, olives and herbs in old Nice. Needing more places to visit? Hop to the Museum of Fine Arts! Modern and contemporary masterpieces (Tassi, Fragonard…) await.
There are numerous remaining cultural sites to be explored! Such as the departmental Museum of Asian arts. But you may prefer to spend your last day enjoying the town or strolling by the sea. Wearing appropriate footwear, you may want to take the coastal path: towards Villefranche-sur-Mer, a beautiful part stretches up to Cap de Nice. End your day in the La Porta quarter which has some of the best restaurants in the town.
