GrenobleAnnecy is defined by its old town and its gardens, the Saint-Maurice church, its Palais de l’île, its chateau museum, its Rue Sainte-Claire, its gardens and its Champ de Mars. A town where it pays to walk with eyes looking upwards to observe its treasures. But Annecy is above all the lake, a magnificent and vast sheet of crystal waters in which the town soaks its feet. Charmant Som offers a more accessible hiking option with a 1h30 circuit. Take the road to Voiron, known as the manufacturing town of Rossignol skis as well as the famous Chartreuse, a liquor based on plants produced by the monks and for which they alone hold the secret. Don’t miss the hugely informative visit of the distillery, at the end of which a tasting of the liqueur is offered.
End your stay in Grenoble, beautifully located between Chartreuse, Vercors, and the Massif de Belledonne. A metropolis of art and history with a deep heritage, a walk around it will allow you to discover its old centre, museums, cathedral, the Maison Stendhal and the former Palais du Parlement du Dauphiné.
